G4 Project Institute has presented the plan of building of a line of Almaty - Kapshagai in northern direction.
Gate City, Golden City, Growing City and Green City are the preliminary names of towns to appear near the southern capital. Conditional date on which we shall be able to see the realised idea in all beauty is 2036. However, the first stone of Koyankus district of Gate City will be already to put next year.
Each town is specific according to a plan of designers. Gate City will be a financial and business centre. Golden City will be an educational, cultural and entertaining center; and Grouing City will be a scientific center. Green Town will be settled down on the bank of the Kapshagaisky water basin, and it will be a center of rest and tourism. But these plans are far from implementation. The first meeting of the Architectural and Town Planning Council of Almaty area was conducted on last Saturday. It was devoted to consideration of general plans of satellite towns. Development of this project has been practically completed, by now. Work on the project has begun in June of the last year and after four months Kann Finch Group Australian Company has joined the group. This company has completed a number of projects in the United Arab Emirates, China, Australia, and also, in the countries of South Pacific region.
Alexander Khvan the co-author of the project and the Managing Director of G4 Project Institute has told: “We plan to transfer some industrial enterprises from Almaty to these towns in the future. Also, we hope, that some part of Almaty dwellers will move there. We will try to create all necessary conditions for this purpose.”
